Mr. Karunaratne was appointed as the Head of Sales at Reliance Insurance Brokers (Pvt.) Ltd. in August 2009, and presently serving the company in the capacity of Deputy Chief Executive Officer heading the Bancassurance sales department & the branch network of the company, whilst supervising a part of the operations departments as well. A professional marketer who is experienced overall around 26 years which consists of 23 years of experience in insurance / service marketing and 03 years in product / service marketing. Joined the insurance industry in 1998 through Commercial Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Ltd and was attached to the Bancassurance operations of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC & at present serves as a Bancassurance Specialist.
He has completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing (SLIM), Higher Diploma in Risk Management & Insurance (Wayamba University of Sri Lanka), holder of MBA conducted by Sikkim Manipal University, India (ICBT Campus) and a member of SLIM. Has participated in the Comprehensive Technical training for General Insurance conducted by National insurance Academy of Pune, India.
